Antique Brass Centre Door Knobs
An antique brass centre door knob, in a traditional octagonal style.
This door knob is the CR 1751 Octagonal Centre Door Knob. these centre door knob/door pull is available in over twenty other finishes, all of which are are very high quality, solid, cast brass items, British made and individually finished by hand.
Traditional octagonal door knobs will suit any period home and are equally suited to Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian décor. The octagnonal shape of these door knobs is a traditional style and a little grander in appearance than round or ball knobs.
Centre door knobs are basically door pulls, which are fitted in the centre of a door. Unlike mortice knobs, these are sold as single items; they don’t twist/turn, as they don’t work a latch, but are bolted through from the internal side of the door, to give additional strength when pulling the door closed.
